Pixelated F-Stops: Fall

Well, I'm back. Today's post was going to be a craft post (again) because I had completed another baby blanket. This one was a soft cream, pink, lavender and sea foam concoction for a friends whose baby girl will be forthcoming in late December/early January. Alas, I am a hoser and forgot to take it's picture before I delivered it on Monday. Why, yes...thank-you for asking, I DO rock! (BTW, S...if you have a digital camera and could take a picture of it for me that'd be awesome! If not, no worries.)

So instead, inspired by this morning's decidedly wintry weather. I'm saying adieu to fall with the few pictures I took during the season this year. Do I have a new, totally awesome camera? Why, yes I do! Did I manage to capture the brilliance that is fall in these parts? Why no, no I did not! We totally missed fall and got bare trees instead. Mental note: The trees in the hills turn two weeks before the trees in town. But I got a few so I'm here to share and hopefully get my blogging kick-started. Because quite frankly the number of food posts sitting on my desk begging to get put on-line is obscene.

Well we did go in to the hills, but all we got was an awesome dinner at our favorite diner. But I did snap this shot of a baby cotton wood who managed to hold on to his leaves...unlike the bastard birch in the background.

A few weeks before I met the baby cottonwood I was clicking pictures of our neighbor's Crab Apple tree. The berries this time of year are such a pretty warm color...very messy and all over my sidewalk, but still very pretty.
