I'm not dead...yet
It has been a heck of a week:
Monday - Late business meeting, home at 5:3 & I actually cooked, but nothing impressive
Tuesday - Yoga, home at 6 & ate take out
Wednesday - Went out with Friends home at 9 & ate out
Thursday - Out of town business meeting, home at 8 & ate take out
Friday - Leaving town for the weekend, home on Sunday
I hope to have some stuff to post next week.
But to tie this in with the types of things I normally discuss:
If you like modern era books that deal with historical topics...pick up a copy of The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova (see side bar). I'm about 1/3rd of the way through it and am LOVING it. Topics covered: Balkans/European History, Vlad the Impaler, Vampires (Oh! I didn't mention the tie in to Vampires? My bad, but this vampire isn't a voiced character, he's only alluded to in the 3rd person. So far.) and a heaping amount of Mystery/Romance. Scrumptious read...thus far. I'll do an actual review once I've finished it...but yay, it's good!
