Oh, it's NOT April any more?

Well. My goodness, how ya'll doin'? Still kicking around out there? Here, the moving is ALL DONE. Well, that's not completely true we still have all of our cleaning supplies at the apartment because we still need to clean it before we do the check-out walk through. Oh the good times, what will we do when you end.

For all three of you who aren't a direct friend or family member and haven't seen the one picture of our house from the realtor, here it is...
We are the proud owners of a fairly nondescript raised ranch. As you can see, it's tan...with white trim and oh, holy cow umpteen billion plants. We have 2 roses, 2 peonies, 4 low growing evergreen shrubby things, 4 red stick things, a raspberry plant, a million strawberry plants, 2 dogwoods, 1 completely unidentified growy thing that may or may not be a big weed, a zillion irises, a hedge made of alternating honeysuckle, lilac bushes and holes and 3 empty garden beds. Of which every.single.area needs to be weeded. Pronto. Also it continues to rain daily, so those empty garden beds = lots of luscious mud for Lilly to romp in.

Anyway after a two month sabbatical from blogging, cooking, crafting or anything else that does not directly involve corrugated cardboard, packaging tape, old newspaper or hefting heavy objects short distances I am soo ready for a bit of kitchen time. Hopefully tonight's kickoff meal of pan fried pork chops and rice will be just what the culinary doctor ordered. For memorial day weekend I am pulling out all the stops with plans to either grill or roast two chickens, make ice cream and possibly a rhubarb or lemon cake. I will cook or die trying.
