Pixelated F-Stops: Fall Seasons
When I'm sitting at my desk at work I can readily see two things...our new office assistant (Hi, new lady!) and the entire western side of town and beyond. The west side of town is nestled in and around the foothills of our small mountain range and our office happens to be near the top of one of those foothills. It's a pretty impressive vista for an office space, in the winter you can see across the smaller hills and valleys while the summer is green tree-tops. While all that is nice, I really look forward to the fall months when the view changes from lots and lots of variants of green to pops of yellow, orange and red. From my desk, fall is pretty awesome.
But regardless of how awesome fall is in town, it's nothing compared to all the showy glam of fall in the Hills. Blue Pines blended with Birch, Cottonwood and occasional Ash tree is quite a site to behold. Two weekends ago was the high weekend for fall color viewing, which also happened to correspond with a visit from Sister-in-law Becki and her husband Travis. For a fun outing on Saturday we went and drove one of the scores of scenic by-ways that the area has to offer. It was a nice warm, if windy day, and was just a lot of fun over all.
